It Snowed!
Monday, 12 October 2009
I was organizing the stuffs in my external harddrive last night, when I stumbled upon a gem of a forgotten cache. In it were articles which I used to collect many years ago, be it from newspapers, magazines or elsewhere. Stories of wisdom and light-hearted jokes. The files are dated 2003 at the time of their creation but that's only the time I transfered it to this hdd, so the actual date should be 1-2 years back. Below is the one that struck me the most last evening and I thought I'd share it here =) ...
If you love some one because you think that he or she is really gorgeous ..... then it's not love, it's
~* Infatuation *~.....
If you love some one because you think that you shouldn't leave him because others think that you shouldn't ..... then it's not love, it's
~*Compromise *~.....
If you love some one because you have been kissed by him ..... then it's not love, it's
~* Inferiority complex*~.....
If you love some one because you cannot leave him thinking that it would hurt his feelings ..... then it's not love. it's
~*Charity*~.....
If you love some one because you share every thing with him ..... then it's not love, it's
~*Friendship*~.....
But if you feel the pain of the other person more than him even when he is stable and you cry for him ..... that's
~*LOVE*~
If you get attracted to other people but stay with him without any regrets ..... that's
~*LOVE*~
If you let him go knowing that he has to go but he doesn't want to ..... that's
~*LOVE*~

The Bucket List
I didn’t understand what this phrase meant when I first came across it a couple months ago. Some friends were talking about it and I had assumed that it’s just a simple To Do list.
Well, the movie just finished minutes ago, as I’m writing this down. Now do I truly understand the magnitude of the meaning behind these few words. As the two main characters passed on and the eulogy flowed along the scenes, I could not help letting the tears roll down my cheeks … and over my smile … they’ve done good …
It's a powerful message and very deep too. It had seemed very easy on the silver screen and I’ll bet that a lot of people will think that the whole concept is about doing all the things you want to do before you die. In a way, that’s true, but then they’ll also be thinking after retirement, after getting old and not much time left. I think they’re missing the whole point.
Why wait? We can always start now. You don’t have to rich or famous to live a good, happy and meaningful life. All you need is some optimism, a dash of faith and lots of imagination. That’s how I’ve always tried to live my life. So that when it’s my turn, I’ll go with my eyes closed, a big smile and an open heart =) …
p.s. – and no, I don’t keep a bucket list

Look What I Found
This is a tin of chocolate chip cookies.

Apparently, it was made in

This is Kex, biscuit wafers covered in milk chocolate, made in

Can you say yummy … munch crunch mmmmm …

This is Swedish brod (or bread), but very crispy like biscuits (or over-toasted bread). It is way cheaper than rice here, so it's a mainstay for me (besides not requiring cooking) but I don’t mind as it tastes great and probably a lot healthier than rice too.

Apparently, you’re supposed to eat it with some toppings like prawn paste (like the ones you can get at Ikea). You can open the package, leave it in the open and it won’t get soft at all, which works just fine for me =) …

This is Fazer, a chocolate brand from

I don’t know about that, but I can certainly vouch that it’s very, very good.
